Match-day Squad: Calim Bowen, Dafydd Davies, James Edwards, Owen Evans, Luciana Linciano, Steffan Lupton, Toby Oliver, Morgan Pemberton, Luke Phillips, Matthew Phipps, Cameron Underwood.

This was always likely to prove to be a difficult fixture as the Cimla side faced their fifth consecutive away fixture with their third visit of the season to Bryncoch. However the side traveled with hopes high following their recent excellent away results and also recalling their defeat of the Bryncoch side earlier in the season at the same venue.

The side set up for the opening period with Toby taking on the goalkeeping duties. Both sides saw early opportunities as the game settled into a reasonably even pattern of play. However the Home side began to increase the pressure and this paid off as they opened up a 1-0 lead. It looked certain that this would be extended when the Cimla defence found itself outnumbered but some quick reactions from Toby saw him race out , not only to clear the danger but he played a long ball forward to Cameron who controlled well and rounded the Bryncoch keeper for an equalizer. Following this the Cimla side began to play some good football and Dafydd was unlucky with a couple of strikes following a Cimla corner. Cimla continued to get the better of the chances for the remainder of the opening period, but they were extremely unfortunate to fall 2-1 behind just before the interval when Bryncoch were allowed to take a quick throw despite Steffan clearly having been hurt before the ball went out of play. From the resulting throw the Cimla side was outnumbered in the centre of defence and a well struck shot left Toby with no chance.

The second period saw James replace Toby between the sticks. The second half started badly for Cimla as Bryncoch extended their lead to 3-1 with a very early strike. With the weather worsening and a very strong wind favouring the Home team it seemed that a comeback would be very difficult. Spirits were however soon raised when Cameron thumped home an effort to reduce the arrears to 3-2. Cimla were pressed back by the Bryncoch side helped by the difficult conditions but some excellent defending coupled with smart work from James when required saw the score remain the same for much of the second period. As Cimla tried to press forward for another equalizer the Home side took full advantage as they stretched their advantage to 4-2 which effectively ended a hard fought game. Cimla fans will feel that a final Bryncoch goal which came from a corner late in the game gave the final score a flattering appearance for the home side.
