Under 10's Match Report
The previous 2 weeks saw the Cimla play 2 weaker sides in Resolven and Glyneath who were both beaten 5-1 and 4-1 with the boys totally controlling the games. This week they entertained Neath Boys club at home. The day was not too good with the rain coming down and the wind blowing a gale. The pitch was not in the best of conditions as this was the 2nd game top be played on it that morning.

The conditions were to dictate the football on offer and so it proved with both sides labouring to get any good passing going. The opening exchanges were very tight with the defences in control.

The breakthrough came midway through the first half with good play from Dylan jones jnr who passed forward to Alexander Greenslade who in turn played in Rhys Costain on the right wing who shot into the net making it 1 nil. The Cimla now looked in control but just before half time Craig Ranson in the cimla goal rolled the ball out to Ryan who was under pressure and this allowed the Boys club to score an easy goal at the end of the first half.

The 2nd half started much as the first. The Boys club then scored a nice goal from the edge of a crowded penalty box passed craig in goal. The game was still very even but it looked as if the Boys club might just hold on but it was not to be as the Cimla boys produced a carbon copy of the 1st goal with excellent play out of defence by Dylan and Daniel to Alexander and once again on to Rhys who shot across the keeper and into the corner of the net with the keeper just getting a touch but could not prevent it from crossing the line making it 2-2.

The game continued but no more chances were created with the cimla midfield having a quiet day which they can hopfully put right against Saron on saturday.
