Under 10's Match Report
An outstanding display of goalkeeping by man of the match Ben Stevens ensured Cimla Rovers took the spoils against local rivals Cwrt Herbert. The match began evenly enough as both sides created chances and midway through the first half Cimla got what proved to be the only goal of the game when Nathan Lazda played Sam Davies into space on halfway, he charged up the left wing, cut inside the last defender and finished sweetly in the bottom corner. As the game wore on Cwrt Herbert began to dominate proceedings, pounding the Cimla goal on several occasions - but they had no change out of Ben as he rose to the challenge to deny the visitors, to them it must of seemed like Ben was growing larger and the goal was shrinking with no possibility of an equaliser. The rest of the team did their bit to frustrate the opposition and gain revenge for the 6-0 hiding they recieved earlier this season. Moment of the match has to be Ben's reflex save of a powerful shot that he somehow got his right hand to, deflecting it onto the bar. Superb Stuff!
