Match-day Squad: Calim Bowen, Dafydd Davies, James Edwards, Owen Evans, Lucianna Linciano, Steffan Lupton, Toby Meredith, Morgan Pemberton, Luke Phillips, Matthew Phipps, Sam Rowe, Cameron Underwood, Ben Wyatt.

The Cimla team traveled in good numbers for this early morning kick off, and this was always likely to be a very difficult fixture having lost at home to a very good Penrhos side early in the season. The home side was the quicker to settle into their pattern of play on an expansive pitch, but the Cimla defensive unit remained firm in the opening exchanges with Dafydd having taken up the first half goal-keeping duties. However, despite the efforts of the Cimla side to keep out a promising Penrhos side, their defence was eventually breached following some good pressure from the home side. Going a goal down was not to deflate the Cimla team who began to work their way into a more even contest. Then, a superb pass from Steffan, who had produced some outstanding effort in helping out the defence, found Owen who had made a great run forward and he finished neatly for a well crafted equalizer. Throughout the first half, Cimla had made regular substitutions ensuring that the team would be as fresh as possible for what was likely to be a very competitive second period.

The major tactical change at half-time saw Steffan replace Dafydd in goals. A very fast start to the second period saw the home side almost catch Cimla cold but were denied by some committed defending. A corner for Cimla saw an effort from Cameron denied. Then it was Penrhos who were denied a second when they hit the bar. As the half progressed the Cimla side seemed to grow in confidence and produce some very good football, which saw them take a well earned lead when an Owen run saw him feed a ball through to Cameron who finished well to make the score 2-1. Cimla were to add to this lead with a simply magnificent third goal, which began with Morgan and James winning the ball in the Cimla defence and passing to Calim who went on a surging run that ended with him playing a ball out to Cameron on the right side who took the ball on before crossing in a ball that found Owen, who then rounded the Penrhos keeper to finish expertly. The Penrhos coach was most complimentary about this goal after the game when he commented that it showed some really good football being played. The home side were still determined to battle, and only some desperate defending kept them at bay when they seemed to first hit a post and then see the ball almost stick in the mud near the Cimla goal-line. The final action of the game saw something similar happen in the Penrhos area when a scramble saw the ball rebound from the post.

The Cimla players and their traveling support were delighted at the final whistle to have turned around an early season defeat in a keenly contested and competitive game.
