Under 10's Match Report
Cimla united travelled to play Giant's Grave and this week had a full team to pick from with Dylan jones jnr returning to reform the excellent partnership with Daniel Smith in the heart of defence.

The game kicked off on a cold morning with the Grave's pitch looking quite good although as the game progressed this was not to last,

The cimla boys went on the offensive from the start with James Carsely winning the ball in midfield and passing to Adam Bray who had a good run down the left before having a shot which was blocked and then cleared by the Grave. This relief of pressure was short lived as cimla's offensive ' Three Amigo's' of Rhys Costain, Alexander Greenslade and Adam Bray combined with the latter scoring with a low drive from the right hand edge of the box into the bottom corner of the net giving the keeper no chance. Business as usual!

The cimla boys now had their tails up and their 2nd was not long in coming.James Carsely once again won the ball in midfield the ball was played through for Alexander Greenslade to latch on to and beat the defence before finishing coolly past the grave's keeper.

The cimla thought they had a 3rd immedietely after with Alexander Greenslade receiving a fantastic cross from Adam Bray and shooting only to see the keeper fingertip the ball to safety. As the halftime approched the Grave started to play some nice football and had a cracking shoot which looked like it was going to be 2-1 only for Craig Ranson to pull off a wonderful diving save to deny them.

This set the tone for the 2nd half and with the rain coming down and the pitch cutting up the boys in defence ie Craig,Daniel,Dylan and Josh had their work cut out. The boys kept going as the play went from end to end.The Grave then had a shoot from the edge of the box which found the net making the score 2-1. Game on.

The Three Amigo's were then put back to their starting positions and as the game came to an end it produced the best move of the match. The ball was played up from Dylan in defence to Alexander up front who played in Rhys who had a great shot but the keeper managed to save it and the ball fell to Alexander but he was unable to force the ball past the keeper.

This was the final move of the match with the final score 2-1 to cimla. Again there was no man of the match as everybody from defence, midfield and attack gave 100% and played as a team. If they keep on playing and working for each other they will have a very good season. Keep it going boys.

ps well done to the 3 subs James Williams, Josh Hutchinson and Jordan Yanton also the team all hope that Adam will grow into Gary's boots by next weeks game.
