Under 10's Match Report

Cimla Rovers were in confident mood following last weeks win against local rivals Boys Club, as they hosted Bryncoch Blacks at Cefn Saeson. The confidence showed from kick off as they dominated possession and created chances every time they had the ball, a big score looked certain. The opening goal was a neat solo effort by Nathan Lazda as he danced through the opposition and finished in some style. This was followed by an intense period where the Bryncoch goal was under siege, Aaron Lupton, Sam Davies and Ben Stevens all coming close but the Bryncoch defence stood tall in the onslaught and denied Cimla a second goal. More goals were inevitable and it was Ben, with an well judged overhead kick, that finally breached the defence. The second half saw Bryncoch bolstered by some of the Yellows side that had already played earlier, and they got back into the game with a goal of their own to take the score 2-1. Cimla refused to let this one slip away and they stepped up the pace, killing the game off with a sweet counter strike. From a Bryncoch corner, Nathan picked the ball up and charged up field, ghosting past despairing tacklers. With one defender left to beat, he laid the ball out to Ben on the left, ran past the last man and received an inch perfect pass back from Ben and stuck the ball home. A good way to end a good game.
