Girls Under 7's Match Reports

Cimla Under 9's Girls travelled to Pentrehafod School Swansea on Sunday to play their very first game of football. It has taken a little time to get this team up and running and until Sunday the eight girls had never played as a team, it's been hard work trying to get them all to train at the same time! Never the less they all turned up and their first game was against Bancffosfelin. This was a well matched game and once the girls got into the game they played some very nice football. Cimla went 1-0 down in the first half but in the second half a determined Cimla equalised with a brilliant goal from Holly Burge. Final score Bancffosfelin 1- Cimla 1.

The second game was not so evenly matched. The Landore girls were much bigger and stronger then our girls and some of the team had been playing for their older team last year. However, this did not put Cimla off and they battled well. Rhianne, Chloe and Megan were a strong defence. Holly and Olivia battled well in mid field. With Jessica and Gabriella working well together up front and Holly in goals. Dispite all their hard work the final score was Landore 2 Cimla 0, which was an excellant result.

A massive well done to all the girls from Karen and Kirsty.
