Cimla AFC
Equal Opportunities

The Club is committed to a policy of 'equal opportunities' to encourage and maximise participation in junior football in the Cimla.

Participation in Mini-football

'it is Club policy that every player in the mini-football section is given an equal opportunity to play football.'

In recognition of young players differing rates of development, The Football Association of Wales stipulate that mini-football is non-competitive and it is Club policy that every player in the mini-football section is given an equal opportunity to play football. This policy is not only important to individual players it is important to the development of junior football in the Club to ensure that squads have sufficient strength in numbers when playing in the competitive junior league at under 12 and beyond. Junior football is a competitive sport from Under 12 and teams are chosen according to the aptitude and skill of players.

Girls playing football

It is Club policy to encourage involvement of girls in mini-football and to support the development of female Junior football. In the past the Club has had a number of successful female players who have gone on to play football at the highest level. Girls football is one of the fastest developing sports in the country and the Club would like to see girls football thrive in the Cimla area.

Disability

No player should be discriminated against as a result of a medical condition or disability and it is Club policy to support all players to realise their full potential playing football.

Bullying

The Club has a zero tolerance to bullying, if any player is being bullied or knows someone else who is being bullied, please inform the Club Welfare Officer.

Welfare Officer

The Club has appointed Karen Lupton as Welfare Officer to look after the interests of players. If a player or parent is worried or unhappy and would like to talk to somebody in confidence, the Welfare Officer may be contacted either by letter, telephone or email.
